Do I need to have a Safety Statement?

Companies must provide a Safety Statement because Irish health and safety legislation requires companies to have one.

The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005.

Under Section 20 of the Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, employers are required to prepare a written Safety Statement for their company. The safety statement is effectively a company`s documented Health & Safety Management programme for ensuring the safety, health and welfare of all its employees whilst at work.
