Do I need to have a Safety Statement?

Under Irish Legislation companies are required to have a written safety statement available to their employees which reflects the safety measure and policies the company adopts to ensure their employee’s safety and health while working for the company.

The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005

Under Section 20 of the Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, employers are required to prepare a written Safety Statement for their company. The safety statement is effectively a company’s documented Health & Safety Management programme for ensuring the safety, health and welfare of all its employees whilst at work. As part of this service we provide a suite of Risk Assessments to compliment the Safety Statement. Risk assessments are also legally required as outlined in Section 19 of the Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005.
